Arjun Kapoor, the son of the well-known film producer Boney Kapoor celebrates his birthday today.

The actor who always dreamed of becoming a director as he was obese in his younger years, was encouraged to take up acting by Salman Khan and was pushed to the brim to lose weight.

Through the years 2005 to 2009, Arjun has co-produced and assisted as a director in many films like 'No Entry', 'Wanted', 'Milenge Milenge', 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' and many more.

Arjun, got his first shot in acting in the latest release 'Ishaqzaade' opposite Parineeti Chopra. His performance in the movie was the most talked about affair. His untidy look and impish smile has won the hearts of many.

Kapoor has signed three other movies with Yash Raj films, which are in pre-production.
