B-Town divas vie for character driven roles

High end powerful characters played by Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena kapoor have influenced quite a few actresses of Bollywood who are now vying to bag character driven roles in the offered films. And the latest added to this list are Bipasha Basu and Madhuri Dixit who have been signed to play strong woman oriented roles in two different films.

Madhuri has been signed to play a 'Godmother' sort of a character in her upcoming film 'Gulab Gang'. On the other hand, Bipasha Basu has been roped in to play a seductress in Rohit Roy's remake of the1982 blockbuster 'Shaukeen'.

Madhuri's film has been in the scheme of films since quite some time now, however it was only recently that the things worked out in favor of Madhuri who is a perfect amalgamation of beauty and caliber. 

As far as 'Shaukeen' is concerned, Bipasha will have company of legends like Rishi Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Boman Irani who have been signed to play key roles in it.
