'Barfi' is not about disability, says Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor's highly anticipated film 'Barfi' unveiled its first look recently, which has already garnered a lot of attention from all ends.

Ranbir plays a dumb-mute character named Murphy, but everyone calls him 'Barfi' as he is full of life and makes people fall for his pranks. Priyanka Chopra who also stars in the film plays an autistic character named 'Jhilmil'

Despite of the leading pair playing characters with disabilities, Ranbir exclaimed that the film essentially is a love story.

"I would say that one should not associate this film with disability... This film is not about disability. It is a coincidence that these two characters are deaf, mute and one is autistic. But one will not feel that it is a disability film. It's about enjoying life, giving happiness, feeling love. It's a love story," said Ranbir.

The film which also stars debutant Ileana D'Cruz, is directed by Anurag Basu and is slated to release on 14th September.
