Since the day filmmaker Rohit Shetty has announced his next 'Chennai Express' starring Shah Rukh Khan in lead, there has been a huge buzz around the film and the developments over it. While there have been a lot of news over its schedule and tentative genre, there have been equal amount of attention being paid to be the casting of the female lead of the film. 

It was stated, Rohit Shetty's current favorite Kareena Kapoor who has worked with him in two 'Golmaal' films was the front runner in bagging the coveted role opposite SRK. But later names like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif too popped up.

Nonetheless, Rohit recently put these rumors to rest when he cleared the air over the remaining cast. "We have not finalized the female lead yet. We will start the casting of other stars in August", said Rohit.
