Sanjay Dutt:

Of lately onscreen characters with grey shades have been extremely popular with the masses, be it 'Singham's funny villain Jayakant Shikre or 'Force's suave stylish villain Vidyut, the antagonists have been trending in recent times. And Sanjay Dutt feels that being bad is 'cool' but only on screen.

Sanju, who played the villainous role of 'Kaancha Cheena' in 'Agneepath' feels that 'being bad is the new 'cool' thing. Sanju who yet again plays the role of a ruthless cop in his recently released film 'Department' exclaimed that his latest character has grey shades but he is a hero in disguise, "I think being bad is cool but only on screen! Kancha was evil, but Mahadev (his character in 'Department') is not evil. He is cool," said Sanju.

He further added how his character has both good and bad sides, "My character Mahadev Bhosale heads a special department within the police. He knows he has been hired to clean out corruption from the city, but understands that once his job is done, he'll be thrown out. So he wants to make the most of it till he lasts in the Department."
