Ekta Kapoor is an Indian Television and film producer. She is the Creative Director and Joint Managing Director of her production company, Balaji Telefilms. Ekta has produced numerous Soap Operas, Television serials and movies. Her most famous TV ventures include `Hum Paanch`, `Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`, `Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii`, `Kasautii Zindagii Kay`, `Kaahin Kissii Roz`, `Kkusum`, `Kutumb`, `Kahiin To Hoga`, `Kasamh Se` and `Bandini`. Her forthcoming Bollywood film, 'Ragini MMS', is slated for release in May 2011.
Earlier, she ensured to name her ventures starting with the letter, 'K', because she believed it brought her good luck and fantastic success. However,more recently, she has deviated from that trend. Some of her current, popular TV programs include `Pavitra Rishta`, `Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani` and `Kitani Mohabbat Hai - Season 2`. Ekta Kapoor has also produced five Bollywood movies - `Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta`, `Kucch To Hai`, `Krishna Cottage`, `Koi Aap Sa` and `Kyaa Kool Hai Hum`. After `Kyaa Kool Hai Hum`, she also co-produced `Shootout at Lokhandwala`, `Mission Istanbul` and produced `Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai`. |
